Damn, wiring sucks ass!! Looks like a lot of spaghetti to sort thru!
Im coming up your way shortly if you wanna try a TF throttle file![]()
yeah that would be cool man, I just want to see if it works. From what I can see it's stuck in power reduced mode from startup (flashes on screen). If I could force it, at least I can give it back to mike for now until the harness comes in. Stuck without a speedo or trans controls for now though, somewhat shifts ok since the tcm is getting a speed signal, but the link from pcm to tcm is not there, so no dash speedo.
Would be a good temp fix though. When you rolling this way?
and btw wiring up these cars is the worst thing I've ever had to do lol. So many extra wires and dead end connections on this harness since it was a lsj harness converted to lnf converted to auto with a bunch of extra sensors for datalogging on it.
Its looking like Aug21 is going to be the date but that's not set in stone just yet! Im trying to get the throttle file from Vince to try on my own car, he's still messing with something with it he said. Hopefully by then Ill have it to test out. Are you still running a 09 MT VCM? If so, Ill just throw mine in your car so you don't have to pay for the **** to just test it out. We can flash it with your HP file then Ill just swap back before I leave.
**** aug 21st and the 27th weekend are the 2 that are out lol.
Yeah still a manual pcm (well they're all the same anyway). Can't flash the auto tune on until I get the pcm and tcm talking.
well we hit a big snag, harness has been put on indefinite back order, so got a f35 on the way from John to use. Swap will be continued in the spring.
tell me about it, hundreds of hours down the drain for now.
Sucks that it's actually done too minus the harness.
but hell, car's been down since november, gotta give the guy back something.
I have been, but also doing this job for free to make up for another bad deal (guy that started the car broke both his wrists after getting paid, so the good friend that I am, took on the finishing of this project). I'll be messing with the harness when it's out of the car again (for the 10 billionth time). hopefully next may we'll be putting this all back in and dialing in the setup
