Default idle fluctuation with siemens 60# injectors.

I have leaned out VE and MAF already and its gotten better, but is there something I'm missing to get the idle to stay like it did with the 42s? Or am I just in the ****ty idle club like Elecblue06 had mentioned to me a while back?

just some extra, tried raising idle to 850 and 900 and I still get fluctuation. The MAF sensor should be ok, but Ill clean it again this week just in case, ill change the plugs then too.

mins not terrible.. but 60's generally have a sweep to them due to injector style and not appreciating low injector pulse widths mine are ok unless i have the AC on.. then they get a bit weird.. but that could be the combo of 60, blower, and solid mounts with ac on

some go fast mods i whistle and sneeze now

I'm being picky. Its not show stopping, I'm gonna try lowering the RPMs from 900 to stock rpms and see how that affects it, trail and error at this point. lol

The "problem" with the 60's and 80's is that, with the small displacement and air mass, the computer is trying to command a pulse width below the "floor" of the injector. IOW, with the big injectors only a very small pulsewidth is needed to supply the necessary fuel at idle. Any injector takes a certain amount of time to open and close. Below that, the injector only opens partially and gets unstable. Guess what? We hit that floor and need to compensate. On the bigger ones the Pulse Width Adder table is there to model this through the range, however that only adds to the problem at low demands.

Omega has a spreadsheet that models these well, but that low range will still give you trouble. Try zeroing out the Pulse Width Adder table and you'll find that you can actually nail down a pretty good idle and AFR down low.

Lowering the timing near idle also helps to stabilize any "hunt" at idle.

Yeah that's it exactly, its hunting for idle once it goes into closed loop.
I used Omega and Redline04s spreadsheet that I drug over here from Redline forums.
The injector install was cake with that, thank the lord, but if its just a simple situation like it seems to be, Ill stop worrying about it. Ill look into dropping timing in that area and trial and error some more.
If I do happen to bumble into some miracle cure Ill be sure to whore it up here.

Slight changes as in what? Like adjusting pulse widths? I used the spreadsheet and idles fine, but it has a slight hunt probably talking about a 100-150 rpm fluctuation @ 750-900 rpm idle.

I would appreciate it, and if it is something relatively tangible, whore it up on here becasue obviously I'm not alone in this deal. ElecBlue has a trifecta tune and it still does what I'm talking about.

I never had a problem getting 60s to idle like stock. Just enable ve fueling in the lower rpm range and dial in ur VE table.

I have done that, I will work more on the VE, but nothing really changed and its pretty close to single digits in the trims as we speak.
