Thread: Code P2135

  1. #1

    Question Code P2135

Do I need a new throttle body? Thoughts..? I've got trifecta logs of it happening if anyone can help diagnose.

Car ran fine for a couple of days. Then this happened. Always ran kind of ♠♠♠♠ty at idle but I thought that was due to the tune not being dialed in. I've got a new tune from Vince but don't want to install if the throttle body is really screwed up. Vince thinks it may be the TB sensors. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Its either the TB, a wiring issue. (closely inspect the harness where it comes out the ECM, where it runs near the fuse block, the engine block, A/C pipes, and of course where you have the wires rerouted to the new TB position on the SC.) or an ECM issue, if youve got an 06 they are particularly fond of setting this code and it being an ECM internal fault.

I've got an 07. Guess I forgot to add that in my sig.

I will go check all the wires. Not mechanically inclined at all. Had Riley (elite_Cyborg) install the kit for me. Seems like he knows what he's doing but I go check it all out.

Wire on my relay for my ic pump was pulled out. Could this be the issue..? Trying to find a female connector to see.

Well... figures since I'm not a mechanic or don't know the first things about cars, I have no connectors. I feel so defeated right now

Pull the connector off and there should be hole to loop the wire through

So would this be the culprit..?

I can get a new ported TB for $90. Thoughts..?

    Is This the only code?

Yea. It's very similar to when we had the pump wired in the wrong spot on the fuse box before we added in a relay.

ENGINE PWR REDUCED and SERVICE TRACTION are displayed on my DIC.

I'm going to get some connectors tomorrow and see when I reconnect the relay if the pump is working. Would the pump not working really be causing this..?

Got connectors. IC pump is working fine. Car still is not. Guess I'll order a new TB. Thoughts?

Got the TB off tonight and it seems OK. Stepped on the gas w/ the car in the ON position and it opened and closed. Couldn't get a video but I'll try if my gf w/ help out later.
