Thread: 35 dry shot post or pre blower

  1. #1

Default 35 dry shot post or pre blower

Looking to super cool the IAT further in addition to my W/M already spraying and gain a little power w/o causing catastrophic results to the CYLs.

    Mods:
    3" ZZP intake
    2.7 m62
    Full aftermarket exhaust (catless)
    HPTuned, afr floats
W/M spraying thru a lower manifold spacer.

Should I just spray into the LM spacer parallel to the meth nozzle? Or would I benefit more from cooling the blower?

My only concern is the shot losing some of it's mmph having to work it's way thru the blower, rather than having more of a straight shot thru a LM spacer post blower.

im no expert by anymeans but when i was talking to people abt spraying w/m they said to spray it further back to give it more time to cool the air. if that is true then i'd put it further back. but idk if you should move the meth too, or which cools more. again i'm no expert.

I've done both ways w/ water/meth. Spraying directly into the pressurized source always yeilded a lower iat2.

The question is if the nitrous should be placed pre blower or post for the most atomization/strength/cooling.

Been running the same meth pump for 2 years solid. The pump itself was run for 2 years prior on another cavilier.

I appreciate the corcern tho Phil. If I was worried I would of stayed stock long ago.

dont forget he is on a 2.7 so he doesnt want to big of a shot cause of the cyl pressure. I would do it preblower. to help cool the charger which would in turn lower the iat1/iat2

IMHO, I think you should go up pulley sizes.

to like a 2.9 or something. And toss a bigger shot at it.

if you want to make power on the bottle, pulley up and increase the shot

I would do that, though I'm not looking to make nitrous my main source of power.

I'm looking to increase efficiency by running a small shot into the lower manifold via a 25-35 jet.

The slight power increase for the $$$ is only a bonus imo.

Go before it then. If you want the max cooling I would think pre blower would be best. But then again maybe the blower will heat up the air higher than going post blower but theoretically it would be the same right?

I thought that eats the coating on the rotors and it's best to spray after.
I'm all about derailing the bandwagon.
