2001ish Sunfires dont have timing belts.....2.2s are pushrod with cam in block and a short chain, 2.4s("quad4/twincam") are DOHC and have a long chain kinda like an ECO. No reason to do routine replacement on either one. youre looking at somewhere between 4-10hrs to replace either one depending on skill level and tool inventory.

Because they are dumb haha, they can stretch, but it takes more than 90k, if I'm not mistaken, tensioners go out in higher mileage ln2s
I port and polish lsj heads for a very fair price, pm me for details

Itll make clicky noises before it breaks. In theory chains dont wear out.

If its an LD9 car watch the water pump because that is a whore and a half to change.

If its an LN2 just beat the everloving piss out of it. Youre golden.

Sounds like a regular cluster. Atleast J tanks go back up easily. Ive had some bad experiences with other cars.
