The Notorious COTM

I would like to gather and collaborate ideas for the Car Of The Month topic. I know that the idea has been mentioned from time to time on here. The triple mod threat has been talking about this for a while, and the general idea is that we mold the basics of voting for a COTM using core aspects that will fit into the mindset of the forum. Unfortunately, we are a forum with a heavy Cobalt base, and we are trying to even things out.

So the ideas you have, please make them known so we can make some final decisions to get this started.

We are looking a making our first winner show on the site at the beginning of '11.

That's a good start. I think a scenic shot should be a requirement too.

in the snow, moving shot, parking lot, sunset, etc.

I agree.... voting like normal... 10 day voting period would be good since some aren't on here everyday like some of us.

Dub, some of those on here have modified interiors, body panels and such...

TTMR, a dirty car in a well placed shot will look just as good as a clean one. Creativity will be taken into account as well concerning this.

Extending the amount of days the poll will be up is under serious thought. Maybe not ten days, but seven.

Yes I know that... but why make that a requirement like Josh said.... My interior is stock with gauges...

Are you good at taking pictures? Finding different places to do so?

It could be an either/ or. Think of it like this. Some may re-do their interior, but have nothing at all done to the engine bay.

This would somewhat make things level.

haha I won COTM for Oct over there....beat dozens of cobalts with body kits and custom paint jobs. Got hated on for it though.

Exterior styling - choice of wheels and tires, paintjob(color etc etc), custom body mods, detail, etc etc

Interior Styling - did you keep it stock or modified it? custom mods, gauges, simple things, etc etc etc

Performance aspects - powertrain mods, suspension mods, forced induction, cooling etc etc

Cars story - any special story that goes with your car or moments you have had with it?

Maitenence - how do you maintain it? do you or does someone else maintain it? etc

what makes your car unique - explains itself

just somethings i have thought about. pics are a definate must...side angles, scenic shot, creative pics, etc etc.

We used to do this for a local forum I'm on but it's not just Cobalts, there's a decent amount of variety there.
We had to do full mods list, no more than 3-4 photos and voting was open for a week like someone mentioned above.
