Thread: the goat has arrived

  1. #1

    Default the goat has arrived

    2005 6.0 m6..

coming from a 5 speed turbo 4 banger. lol its hard to remember to throw it in 6th gear lol..

and wtf have i been missing??? u dont have to downshift like ever unless u go to a complete stop... 10mph 5mph.. doesnt matter. no need to downshift. just keeps on truckin.. gas mileage is gonna suck but idgaf right now. 6th gear and the mpg reading thing make it fairly decent. i drove all day and the fuel gauge only went a tick including all of my random romps lol.. im really liking this car.

car came with polished stock 17s, wut looks to be 15% tint on the fronts and magnaflow exhaust... im gonna check tomorrow to see if its got anything else.. i couldnt really see cuz its too low on the sides but ill find out.

some small teaser pics...lol.. it was dark when i left the dealer.

Gas mileage will be fine once you tune it. I get 24 mpg combined driving normally. The DIC reads high so don't go off of that.
I'm all about derailing the bandwagon.

Pedders has some killer suspension parts for those, fyi. They're also one of the only shops in the country that can do a rear subframe alignment, which may be needed if you notice a lot of wheel hop when romping on it.

    Love the car, btw...

Nice pick up. I really like the GTO's. Might end up getting one sooner or later.

M6 GTO's have been known to get upwards of 26-28mph highway with the right set-up.

looks good man...and yeah i can relate with the 6 ears
i drove home from houston in 5th most of the time bc i forgot about 6th hahahaha....now i skip 5th gear completely, i mostly do 1>2>3>4>6 when im DD'n....

also dont forget not to judge gas mileage by "how many bars of gas you spent"...i thought that too with the balt, i was like the saab is gettign way better mileage...well it wasnt, the saasb just had a bigger tank than the balt, so it was getting close to the same, just didnt register on the gauge that way bc it cost me more to fill up

it tells how many gallons uve used for the miles uve gone. it does have a much bigger tank at 18 gallons. i judge it mostly by fillups and where im going. i usually go to the same 3-5 places every week and the balt required about 2 fills. i no longer have school so thats a big monkey off the back.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you. Hope this helps!
