Default Model A Tudor Sedan with a turbo'd Ecotec

Hmm I guess I don't have as many pics on my MacBook as I thought but here's what I'm working on:

Frame on chassis table - you can see the body in the background

L61 connected to an AR5 out of a Chevy Colorado using a Solstice bellhouisng

Motor and trans mocked up in frame

Yes, that's a giant Speedy Gonzalez in the corner.

Thanks for your enthusiasm guys. Hoping to get the frame cut off the table and on the ground by spring time next year.

This looks like it'll be an awesome project.

Have you started looking into your engine management system yet? What compressor do you plan on running? Can't wait to hear more about your plans!

FYI, my next project is going to be a built ECOtec into a full resto...

I'm going to use an AEM EMS. I usually use their 30-6050 box. It's actually for a Honda but it's kind of their "secret" universal box. It has 12 injector drivers and 8 coil drivers so you can put them on practically anything; you just got to build a harness. As for a turbo, I think I'm going to go with a Precision billet hp 5557. I really like their v-band in/out turbine housings.

    V-band=awesome.

5557 is probably the most popular turbo right now.

It's not the only billet wheeled turbo on the planet though...look at Garrett's GTX series.

Yeah and I'm not dead set on a billet compressor wheel or even a ball bearing turbo either but I am dead set on v-band. I'd run a gt3071 or gt3076 but you gotta add on the Tial housing if you want v-band in and out. I admit it's kinda lame but aesthetics do have something to do with it. If this turbo was hidden between the back of the motor and the firewall like it is on a 'balt then I'd say screw it and run whatever. But I'm building something that's going to be ran without a hood and I'm going to do a lot to detail the motor. I think the v-band looks awesome plus it is awesome so yeah, go v-band, go precision.

Just checked pricing on the gtx's... I'm still thinkin' that Precision gets the win.

Because not everyone on the face of the planet thinks AWD is 'sick' and 'totally awesome' for driving.

    Seriously...
