No 2011 SS...
Well no ♠♠♠♠?!
A Cruze SS WILL happen in the future.
Sounds like its never going to happen according to Jim Campbell. If you were holding your breath for an SS version of Chevrolet Cruze, well, you can stop now and resume normal respiration. Chevrolet marketing chief Jim Campbell told Jalopnik that there won’t be a 2011 Cruze SS, or one added later on in the model cycle.
Right...because a marketing chief will know it all...
Verano is getting a 2.0T motor.
Cruze will be getting it down the line also.
I don't really mind...this will most likely be my last domestic car...not saying I've had problems in the past but I just don't care for much of them.
I refuse to give up on US vehicles...
I have has my SVT contour for 8 years, I beat the piss out of it. 137K miles. Still runs great
Just because there is no "SS" doesnt mean there wont be one worth modding or that has decent power from the factory.......
Thats also a 5month old post, that was made before the car even hit the street.

I forsee a subtle 2.0T option for the LTZ, with the GMPP catalog offering the rest of the goodies... maybe.
What about the Z-Spec?
haha good thing i didnt wait to get a cruze ss i love my cobalt ss first new car ive ever had and yes ive had a few problems ic pipe grommet recall ps recall key stuck in the god damn ignition but nothing huge lol
We have been here before, remember in 2007 when the Cobalt SS supercharged was dropped? Everyone thought that was the end of the SS cobalt
2007 Cobalt SS G85, Harrop 1320LSJ 2.8"
1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans AM #82
all this speculation is lame... i hate all that ambiguous crap.
exact reason i dont like any domestic tuners right now.
San Antonio Trifecta Dealer
pacesetter lt's, catless mids, monster level 3 clutch, mgw shifter
Maybe it won't be called the Cruze "SS" per se because it seems as that trim level on small cars is being phased out.
The LNF spin off being used now will land in a Chevy Delta II.
Werd

why didnt the Astra sell very well while it was over here?
that would have been cool with an LNF...
Because they never got an LNF.
They were such a mix of performance and 'luxo'...they gave the car no balls, good handling in front, dropped the ball on the rear and put some retarded engines in em.
Done right that car would have cleaned up a lot of on the fence GTI sales, while being faster.
its just sad that after the demise of saturn they let the whole thing just die...
Why didnt another brand pick up the solstice/sky? hell a buick roadster would have been cool...
^^^ your the guy with the Goat right?
