Default Swap to 08+ TC Control Arms

I have searched on this and have not been able to find an answer. When swapping the Ion RL FE3 control arms for the SS TC FE5 control arms, what are the reccomended allignment specifications? Use the factory RL specifications, or that of the TCs?

take your pik. the only thing you can adjust is toe in. I set it to zero. GM call for 30 mins total toe + or-. The RL strut has enough play in the top mount to move it back to the firewall about 3/16 of an inch which will improve caster by a miniscule amount.

    U r done.
ps You will have to open up your knuckle to accept the 20.5 mm TC bj post. Documented on my threads elsewhere...chisel, bfh will do

thats ez, you cant change it lol but yes zero toe will help u.
dont forget no junk in trunk and make sure the shop set the tire pressures to what you ride at. I ride at 30. Different on track but that doesnt matter

    Doh
Tire pressure makes a difference when it comes to allignment? I didn't know that, but I could see it if a couple tires were way off from others in pressure. I got to find a new place to do my allignment next time anyways, but that will happen when the new tires get put on

2 psi difference either way side to side makes the car lead to the soft side. Its bad enough that roads are cambered and the car may lead to the ditch anyway. But if the height of the tire is not correct the alignment wont be. While it is a production car, it makes sense to make sure all the variable parameters are set.

if the tires front to rear are worn more than 2/32 difference on a 4x4 with non vicous transfer case you risk blowing the gear case. the more the wear difference the higher the risk.

Thats probably part of the reason why my last couple allignments didn't feel totally right to me, they never verified the tires pressure before allignment. Thus partly why I am looking somewhere else to do it, at least one that provides a before and after settings printout
