    Default Single pass

There are a few different ways of doing this, I chose this route because it seems like the easiest.
So firstly I marked how I wanted the pipes to come out.

Then I ground out where I wanted to weld the pipes in.

Then welded the pipes on. They still need to be cut to length but I'm going to wait till I size it up in my car to decide where I'll chop em.

Then we took a stock endplate and built up the one area where we felt there wasn't sufficient enough material to mill out a passage large enough for fluid to pass though.

The most important resource in this process, my father Journeyman Welder, Journeyman Machinist and Journeyman HD Mechanic extraordinaire milling out the passages.

We milled out as much as possible and then finished it off with the die grinder.

When I went to reinstall the manifold I needed to reroute the alt to started lead and bend the dipstick tube.

It took a while but I managed to get the tube to fit nicely between the alt and the outlet tubes.

This is mine, not Flatgod's. Flatgod did an excellent job, fine craftsmanship. I did the alternator to starter wire differently, but you gotta do it right, mine was too tight to the im at first and I got a humungo short when it abraded through on the race track. notgood.

i imagine it has to kinda hug the intake manifold as there is not much clearance between the fan shroud. this makes me curious

I'll see if I can get a few more pics for you Tennpenn when I get back home. The only reason I was able to route my lead wire behind the LIM was because I have the Phenolic spacer and bumping the LIM forward gave me some extra room for the wire behind other wise you would need to run a longer lead wire. As far as clearance in front goes, had I not insulated the hoses I would have had plenty of room even with the extra 1/4" the spacer bumps the mani out.

So how much better is this over a dual pass, option b, and a secondary heat exchanger. I like this setup but it seems like alot of work.

I do the single pass IM for 600 exchange (stock side plate on the drivers side only) no laminovas in....Flatgod made his like we made the very first one in 04. Now we do a log maniflod for the pass side, but it is still very difficult to weld in etc....people whine about the price so I dont worry about it much. Coupled with a Griffin race heat exchanger in the stock location I get very good results...which makes sense. Option B is a given. A secondary heat exchange for me does not yield the results I am looking for...

does the 600 comes with the griffin =p

never liked the aluminum radiators from
griffin that we get for our gmc motorhomes

the fill neck welds looks like poo poo at times
and we had to send back a few because it was
    welded at a angle.

you have pictarz of the radiator you use quick?

I figured the way I did mine was probably the simplest way to do it. Anyone who thinks this could be done by tapping two bungs shouldn't work on cars. So far I am very pleased with the gains over the dual pass setup. John have you seen pics of the ZZP single pass unit yet? I kinda like the one hoses in one hose out setup. Would make for less clutter behind the rad.

what do your iats look like now? I'm sure they drop sooner after a hard pull, not much heat soak.... back to back pulls?

I'm not a big fan of posting ait's cause it subject to ambient temps and most ppl lie so it's pointless.............but yesterday I was showing my dad the reason for doing all that work. I did two back to back 1st-3rd pulls then did a first to mid fith pull at 230kph my ait2's were at 151. That was literally a pull stop pull stop pull scenario. My ait's drop at the same rate they climb. I can do back to back to back pulls without heat soak.
