I can promise you that it won't be that cheap, especially with dealer mark up.

Also I think it's hilarious that Ford would even think of going after the Corvette with the Mustang.

no matter what that car does it wont compete in anything other then a straight lin against a corvette. pricing should be in the mid 60s for the mustang guarenteed.

Ford has, on numerous occasions, gone after the Corvette with the Mustang. Most obvious that comes to mind is the old 5.0 V8.

Now, I haven't seem the price of a MY13 GT500, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could buy a fully loaded SS with the upgrades for 650bhp and still have some change remaining for upgrades like swapping the trans out for a 6L80e or 6L90e, meth injection, and several other goodies to kill the GT500, plus change remaining for a winter beater.

GMPP LS9 heads and supercharger kit is a) not cheap and b) not warrantied

I doubt it will be either.

Why is that? Ford doesn't have to limit the Mustang under a flagship vehicle like GM does with the Camaro and Corvette. If the GT500 lives up to the claims of its performance, 650 HP and 202 MPH top speed, its already at Corvette level

Since when did GM stop doing the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on GMPP parts? And, I agree ~$6,500 (GMPD price with shipping) isn't cheap.

They don't see a business case for it and then the Mustang would cost way more than the Corvette.

Not to mention the cost of developing a new platform, retooling plants, advertisement, etc.

The current Mustang platform, no matter how much hp it has, could never be at the level that the Y body under the Corvette is.

    Oh the parts are warrantied

I knew that much ♠♠♠♠ garrett warranties their turbos and harrop warranties their blowers...really don't see the point of bringing warranty

The ZL1's drivetrain is completely warrantied for 5/100k

Definitely not cheap. S/C kit alone is like $7500.
