About to buy one for 650 bucks, no engine. Anyone know anything about engine swaps? Pending the album of pics on this thing I'm recieving soon, it's gonna be my new project car! 1500 more and I'll have an SR20DET to throw into it. Sounds like fun, this will be my first delve into rebuilding a car....Any comments from some experts?

I'm with Jn2. Or build up an LQ9 and throw some LS6 heads on that bitch. It'd be cheaper I believe

You can get sr20s ridiculously cheap, and make decent power with a 28r even.

But a couple SR20s would pull a premium one week before Race Wars.

ls1 or bust...by the time you get an sr20 and do the work to make it reliable and efficient with the turbo and everything you can buy a perfectly good ls1 or 2 out of a totaled camaro gto or something with the harness and trans for the same price pretty much. if the cars gutted your better off with that platform if you ask me. my buddies regretting not doing an lsx
