Thread: Any difference between the LSJ and L61 fuel filters

Default Any difference between the LSJ and L61 fuel filters

I picked up a new LSJ fuel filter to install earlier today. Upon opening the box to look at the filter I seen that the filter has 15233471 printed on it, which is the same number for the 2.2 and 2.4 fuel filters. I had the parts guy check to see if the other GF824 fuel filters in the back had the same number printed on them, and they did. So I went ahead and bought it for now. Does anyone know if GM/AC Delco went to the same fuel filters across the board for the, 2.0, 2.2, and 2.4s?

GMPartsDirect has 2 different parts/prices listed for an 06 Cobalt. One for the 2.0L and another for 2.2/2.4L's.

Yeah, I also noticed it on the CED site. That's how I figured out that the 15233471 corresponds to 2.2s and 2.4s. It just seems odd out of the 3 GF824 boxes of filters that the dealer had in stock, all of them had 15233471 printed on the fuel filter itself. It doesn't seem like AC Delco could screw up pacakging that many mismatches and all go to the same dealer, then again who knows. From the pictures on CEDs site, visually there is no difference in them. http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...ucts-C193.aspx

Anyone know if the LSJs have a higher fuel pressure rating over the 2.2s and 2.4s? That's the only reason I could see them being different

Most GM Vehicles that I've checked all seem to run 60psi from the factory.
