Default 60s, LS4, not having fun

Just made a boatload of changes new Rebel Intake, LS4 is back in and alky is currently off. Idle wasnt that bad prior to the change. Idle is now pulsing alot more, its pretty bad actually, Im using 5500 as the scaler. I believe this is what I used before its been about 2 years since I messed with the LS4 but I know it was about perfect before I'm trying to figure out what it is that I've done differently this time I have almost 4 years of logs and tunes from prior experiements and setups over the years so its not easy to find.

I have my .hpt file and log if it makes it easier for someone to see what I've left out

The jumpyness I've got pretty well covered its really not that bad midrange and upper end are dialed in pretty well, its just the idle thats been carrying on since I switched it and the other new parts on. Its a matter of personal preference some people like it, some dont.

John told you to ditch the ls4 tb idea when you were searching for one, and now it's causing problems (like John told you it would). What do you need to motivate you to get that pos off the car???? No power gains + stupid problems = waste of time + $$$.

I am one of the early adopters of the ls4. I did it cause my stock one went bad and it was the same price as a stock one plus I thought it was an upgrade at the time. My scaler is also set at 5500 and was adjusted in my driveway in under 5 mins. I first put it on with an injen and now I have a 3" intake. Only people new to my car have issues in first gear but even with the stock tb I had trouble with it being jumpy in first. Should of seen me on the test drive back in 05. Was not a smooth test drive at all and I actually knew how to drive stick.

Maybe I'm not being clear, my issue is concerning adjustments in HPT, pulsing idle has been an issue before the change in Throttle body. TB just made the condition worse. I previously ran an LS4 with no idle or driveability issues less than 2 years ago. Yes I could change back to the stock one...Thats not going to fix the issues mentioned in this post

So lastly unless you know something about HPT and have something actually helpful to provide, I could careless about your opinion on parts that are completely unrelated to the question. I need data on things like which voltage offset to go with in comparision to what I'm currently using, how to determine short pulse adders, short pulse limits, etc.

Will do, I believe that may have been what I used before, sadly I discarded all my old files so I cant remember where exactly I had it, that may have been it, right now im at 5500

We understand your having tuning issues but what we don't understand is why your running that TB? I'm making double the HP you are. And still the stock TB is not whats holding me back. Put the stock one back on and then try to solve your issue and you might get better results.

I agree. You just need to break the issue down into smaller pieces. Right now you're fighting two battles. Put the stocker back on, work on solving your idle issues, then switch to the LS4 if you still want to use it.
