    Default Official Mountain Biking Thread

I just got into mountain biking and I figure some of you are into it as well. I went on my first ride yesterday and had a blast! Going uphill is such a workout, but the downhills are so worth it.

My brother-in-law loaned me his old Trek 820 and it still works perfect.

I also took a video. Feel free to post what bike you have and any videos you have.

    2008 GT Force 2.0

I have only ridden once this year because of the pile of parts in my garage. I'd definitely recommend getting a helmet though. they have saved me a couple times when I bounce off trees.

    Santa Cruz Chameleon.

Wait Til you get a better bike, you'll have even more fun. MTB is a riot, i love it, just got back o. To my bike after a few years away, still breaking in the saddle and my ass again, just cruising the 'hood on street tires, can't wait to terrorize the woods at night later this summer.

I'd like to get back into it, haven't really done it since High School. There was no good places to ride in Ohio though. Different story here.

M-4 hardtail. Sweeeeet. I worked in a shop back in those days.(92-04 actually) Loved the mmc bikes. Schwinn Homegrowns were my face though. I had a hardtail back in late 90s. Also had a few paramount's. Mmmmmmmm.

Theres a quary here that they shut down because the rock was too hard, but they made it into a biking area. We ride it all the time. started off racing 20" bikes and now have been mountain biking for the last 5 years and love it. I ride a Schwinn Mesa GSD, nothing special but takes the abuse well.

I have an Apollo... bought it in London. It hasn't been pedaled since... 2001 or so. Needs some work. Ohio winter was hell on it.

Nice guys, sounds like some pretty nice bikes. Once I get a job, a new bike is definitely on my list.

Already can't wait to get back out there!
