Exclamation Crank Shaft Sensor & Throttle Position Sensor. -- Help!!

I installed Zzp's Stage 3 Kit (Zzp 2.8 pulley, Zzp S3 heat exchn, option b, dual pass endplate, 60# injectors, S2 gm belt, and the PCM), and 2 codes popped up, throttle postion sensor and crank shaft sensor. any suggestion on how to get rid of them?

Try posting down in the engine section, more folks likely to see it there than in the site help forum.

Clear them, see if they come back. Then call zzp. If they won't help I'm sure we here can.

Try and post things in proper place.

What is the actual code for the throttle? Yes, crank relearn is a tech2, interceptor or hptuners thing. Got relearn it.

Do the crank relearn, and then see if the TPS code comes back. If it does... time for a new Throttle Body, more than likely.

    +1 on the TPS code.

OP - HPT will do the crank re-learn.

Ya but the PCM zzp gave me is locked n it would cost me to have him retune the pcm which i can care less, but even still once i do the relearn on the crank shaft sensor, the tps code could still be there, thus giving me the reduced engine power.

I don't know for sure, as I've never had to do it... but I had thought that HPTuners could do the Crank Relearn without having to purchase credits/tune the PCM. Like I said, just what I thought... I've never looked into it.

And if the TPS code is still there afterwards, then you need a new Throttle Body, no if's, and's, or but's.

I would do the crank relearn first though, before trying to solve the TPS code.

Replacing the TB is simple and easy. You can usually pick up a good TB fairly cheaply too, if you watch for them in the classifieds.

im 95 percent sure that the crank relearn is in the scanner not editor. so it should be able to be done with no credits. in theory. i have the credits to my car and never had to do it to some one elses.
To many mods to list. But she hurts alot of feelings....

Ya thats what everyone was telling me, even when i have my friends buddy come to my house with his hp tuner, he wasnt able to get into the tune to see if the tuner zzp gave me was casuing the TPS n the crank shaft sensor, so im going to the dealer tomorrow to let them do the relearn on the crank.

You don't need an LS4... they are not needed on a Cobalt... period.

lolwut? The tune isn't going to be what is throwing the codes. Have your buddy come back to your house and he can do the Crank Relearn for free. Its in VCM Scanner, not Editor.

...that's what I've been saying the whole time. I'm also just saying, why pay a dealer to do the crank relearn, when you can have your buddy do it with his HPTuners???
