So, in an effort to just get one of the many things I intend to do mostly off my plate today, I decided to install the ZZP Boost Reference Fuel Pressure System on my car w/o a vacuum reference so it was bypassing that particular regulator, but ready to connect to vacuum once I got my hands on HPT.
Whelp, turn the key to accessory, and it sounds like the pump is working extra hard, but figured the extra noise was just the pump filling up empty space and paid no attention. Turned the key to ignition and it starts, maintains idle for a second and then starts bouncing 1K and 1,250 rpms. It'll do this for a while and then stall out.
So, needless to say, I reverse install. Note, when uninstalling, I start the car and pull fuse pump like I always do and attempt a start or two to try and flush the lines. Well, this time when I disconnect the lines, there is significant pressure and fuel still in the lines, basically, like there was a restriction in the system. I figure the FPR is set way off and that was what effected my idle. Reconnect stock setup, start it up and the freaking thing is still having the idle issue. I am by no means a fuel system expert, but I am guessing that either my stock regulator or pump are now messed.
Things to note:
I do not have HPT to log anything at the moment.
The car is still in SD mode cause that's where I left off w/ tuning.
Pump has louder wine than normal.
Any ideas or similar experiences. Battery has been disconnected to reset, even though I'm in SD...
