Thread: Colorado/Canyon Fuel Milage Modding?

    Default Colorado/Canyon Fuel Milage Modding?

Yea.. Not quite a sport compact, but my old man got a 2007 GMC Canyon with the 2.9L inline 4 w/ automagic transmission. He says he's getting 20mpg around town with it, and going for more. I'm trying to find a used intake for him for the truck, but also wondering if anyone knows of any tuning applications for these to go for more fuel milage.

I'd take one with the 5.3, but not for the mileage.

I have a 07 2.9l and i get 25-28 mpg give or take... but i do quite a bit of hyw. The 5.3 gets even better mpg on hyw... not much you can do in the city. tune will help... Let me know what ya find with the intake.. i think i want one that just replaces the pipe from the maf back to the throttle body and keep the oem box.
