Ok so as some of you know i just stepped into the LNF family of GMSC and out of the LSJ. and have already come across a issue i dont understand.

So today i decide ima turn ESC off going down the interstate and see how she pulls in 3rd. So i do. The whole time its pulling its constantly jerking and backfiring but still pulling decently quick. Coming to the end of 3rd my check engine light starts flashing at me. so i turn ESC back on and the car rode fine. light never came on. car pulled fine like nothing ever happen. Im not understanding why it would of done that.

The cars mods are:
K&N Short Ram Intake
Injen Hot Side Piping
ZZP 3in down pipe.
Side exit exhaust
and a Trifecta Tune.

So on this info what are some opinions on what you might think is going on. Im thinking that the exhaust could be chocking the power. Its not an exhaust leak and im almost positive its not a boost leak.

ESC off is probably a different tune then when its on. Seems like a mod or something is different from when you bought it vs when it was tuned the first time.

I just bought it with all this already on it. Thats why im having a time trying to figure this stuff out. unlike my LSJ that i built so i knew the slightest difference in how it felt. im kinda jumping in this head first not yet really knowing how the car feels. I wanna say thats how the Trifecta tune is set up is by turning the esc off. but why it went balistic on me and started flashing CEL at me idk. Im wondering if its just the tune in general being garbage.

When was the last time you changed the Spark Plugs?

I don't like or trust trifecta tunes, either. Crap.

Like i said just bought it. dont even have the new tags on it. just now getting used to it. well i will change the plugs thats no biggy. and yes i know trifecta is garbage here in about 3 weeks i am buying the hp tuners program so i can change it.

What I don't get at all is people who stay in it when it starts to misfire...

Because high load+misifiring will do it.

Get it flashed back to bone stock and get a tune from someone who knows what they're doing along with some fresh plugs

Oh and if it starts to misfire again...get your foot out of it...that's like saying you were stabbing yourself today and it hurt while you were doing it but continued to...

Ok new plugs i think i got it now lol

Lose the Trifecta tune. planned on doing that before i bought the car. and it will happen.

Steddy i do stab my self repeatedly for no reason. lol

throw AWAY the junk side exhaust etc and next time buy a car no one has screwed up. sucks that peeps do it. and when it misfires fix it dont stay on it like steddy says and like macguy says gmS1 hard to beat.

i hear ya i bought it because i know i can turn it around. by TOTD2 it will be on its feet looking good and running great. and i understand what steddy is saying. i know what could of come from doing that but i wanted to feel what was going on and now i have a pretty good idea.

probobly just the crap tune misfiring homie. My trims r alittle finiky n cause me to misfire, urs could be the same. id just worry about getting matt or some1 to log that thing

So just an update: plugged the computer into the car. Showed missfire in #1. So replaced plugs. and put in a new coil pack. still missfires under a load. idles fine. drives fine. So i guess its left to when i have the time and money to get Dubbie to tune it. looks like ima be driving with the tune off for awhile lol

Finally update on this thread: Got new plugs. Replaced the coil. HP Tuned it. Runs like a champ! Thanks for your advice everyone
