    he was running the restrictor precision told him to run, and he had a inline filter on the oil feed (not very restrictive, maybe 20 micron at most). was just really a stainless steel basket.

    as for the stock pump, mine was pretty much out of steam @411whp or so, well befor that, but I still pushed lol.

    Yeah, I remember the thread where y'all said Precision told him to run it for the smokey idle issue... just wondering if it restricted too much up top. It would still be there fault, obviously, since they okay'd it. Which inline filter is he running? I was running the Earl's one last year.

    it was an earl's one too.
    it was strange it just completely let go at the top of 3rd gear @6200 rpm or so, car started vibrating prestty bad. got off the highway and tried a second gear pull, car wasn't pulling as hard, and when he let off I heard an odd popping noise. A minute later, compressor wheel hitting housing, and that was all she wrote.

    Damn. My first PTE lasted forever... and it was cheeeeaaaaap. I really hope this expensive as hell one can last twice as long.
