    Default the new project

figured I'd fill ya guys in on what I"m working on now:
    1998 trans am
single 88mm front mounted turbo (custom kit by bd customz)
stock 5.3 truck motor, regapping rings to .028
twin walbro 255's in tank (possible a1000 inline)
    80lb injectors
    ls6 intake
arp rod bolts, head studs and ls9 head gasket
317 truck heads w/ls6 valve springs and ls6 cam
    31x24x3.5" fmic
stock drivetrain until the winter (or first pull when the rear blows lol)
    shooting for 800+rwhp

still need a few parts to finish up in the next month or so, so if any sponsors want to help a brotha out (wink wink) you know what to do.

Make sure you go to chuck Burkhart for suspension and drivetrain needs when your drivetrain blows up. Best work you can buy for the price and I don't know anyone that's blown his rear end apart yet. Tom kemf has ran it for awhile in his old car and I believe he still runs one in his outlaw car and I have one aswell. Chucks also done my 25.5 cage

yeah I was looking at his stuff, but as this is a budget setup, whateve I can afford at the time will be going in lol

and on a side note on the car:
well I must say that I hate the person that dyno matted this car. ♠♠♠♠er did every goddamn square inch from under the dash to the trunk. Spent 8-9 hours pulling that ♠♠♠♠ out saturday, and maybe got a 1/3 of the way done. Hands are raw and blistered. Why would you f'n do that? I mean every square inch of the car is covered in knock off dyno matt and that ♠♠♠♠ does not want to come out. Went through 20+ lb's of ice and a 1/3 tank of c02 and the ♠♠♠♠ still put up a fight.

The last heat gun we bought came with a scraper that attaches to the end. Works well for that kinda stuff! (Walmart - $25)

V8 + Turbo = FUN! Can't wait to see pics and vids of it all done!

That turbo is way overkill. Your build looks very similar to a local buddies Trans Am though.

lol the one at bill's is a baby (gt4088)

I am dying to get the ball rolling on this. SHould be quite the little beast. Unfortunately due to lack of fundage, I will have to sorta baby it around until the winter/spring when I can do the drivetrain on the car. As long as it holds up for dyno tuning and some street pulls, and maybe a pussy run down the track in the fall, I'll be a happy camper. Shooting for 600-650whp on pump gas, and 800+whp on race gas.

well whats the best way to kill??? overkill lol.
and it should still be pretty streetable, 1.05 a/r twin scroll housing and we are setting up the manifold as twin scroll too so that should help. I'm looking to max this bitch out

my buddies is an s475 1.05 a/r and spool takes to long. He said if he were to do it again, he would have went smaller on the a/r.
