Default So... My coolant is mixing with the oil

I just would like some suggestions on what you think could be doing this... spark plugs do not have anything on them... cylinders are dry.. im not smoking at all. but this is what i seen when i took my valvecover off:

anyone have any thoughts? warped/cracked head? we did a coolant pressure test and didnt see it leaking anywhere.. any advice would be great. i would love to get this figured out once and for all : (

It's an LSJ rocker cover. Most LSJ covers show rust in that exact same area.

We've seen two seperate LNF HHR's leak at cylinder #3 sleeve at the bottom of the block. Dont know if its porosity or bad sleeves. GM hasent released a TSB yet as far as I know. Sounds like a very similar issue.

Thats what i was thinking myself... bates block. either that or a warped/cracked head.. bad headgasket? its only 3 weeks old though. i did overboost the crap outta her on accident (dont ask) but it hit 32 psi for one second until i realized my tires were spinning in place.

32psi isn't really overboosting that block, imo. Overboosting for what you're tuned for, sure. That block should be able to hold a good bit more than 32psi.

More than likely, the head gasket isn't properly sealed. I believe that was Danew's problem, as well. Only he was experimenting with a 2.4L HG, as his was overbored a good bit. That coolant will destroy your bearings... just as it did his... so it would be advisable to not drive the car anymore.

well everything is on order AGAIN... new stock hg, all the tty bolts etc. how long does coolant take to destroy bearings? and what happened in danews case with that? like how did he know his bearings went bad? dumb question i know but im just curious

He knew his bearings went bad, when the rods started knocking. I don't remember all the details... just the end result.
