B.Rad can help, good guy, maybe you can draft him? There are others. Think about it: With leadership from eBristol. RLF got saved in spite of very poor management and no guidance.
Learn from the mistakes and build on the excellent premise that Maven had in the first place. But you gotta hang in here folks for it to last.

I moved this post to its own thread because it deserves it.

There been a lot of complaining, and a lot of finger pointing, a lot of excuses and a lot of stuff not getting done. I want to rectify this. We should all want this rectified. We should all be pretty proud of the little section of internet we have created here. For having as much activity as we do here (over a third of a million posts in less than 2 years) the site is still largely self moderated and everyone does a really good job of trying to make this place a site that's nice to come to and truly talk cars or at least talk with other true enthusiasts without worrying about the maturity level of everyone on the site. I'm very happy at how much different this site is from many others and want to keep it that way.

If you want to keep GMSC special, then speak up. Lets fix our issues. If I owe you something, keep bitching Ill make it right.(via pm or email please) If you think we need new/more staff then speak up or step up. If you think something needs to be added to or removed from the site make a big post about. A large chunk of the things on this site are there simply because you asked for it. Think you can do a better job with the site? Start a thread, email me, spam some PM boxes,etc...... Speak your minds, lets keep this place on track.

If you want more help, you know I'll gladly step in. I only know of the issue of the site slowing down visitor/post wise, any other ones are news to me. I think I still have all my admin access, just missing the user title.

I think the site does well on its own. I love the whole self moderating we have. I don't really think that more is really needed however possibly a few tweaks here and there. We don’t have the user base the shortbuss and rlf have at least I don’t think we do and there for we have the lack of doucheness.
I think the forum is fine just remember you can’t please everyone.

If you're not a member of the site you can't see attachments. There's no other settings or anything that the site has set up to keep people from seeing pics, if he couldn't seepics hosted from a regular photo hosting site and he's a registered member of the site the problem was his, not the sites.

If you're not a member of the site you can't see attachments. There's no other settings or anything that the site has set up to keep people from seeing pics, if he couldn't seepics hosted from a regular photo hosting site and he's a registered member of the site the problem was his, not the sites.

hmm...i did notive the site has slowed a bit, but this forum is mostly a group of familiair faces(screennames)...like mentioned before, we dont have the #'s that other forums have...but we do have most of the heavy hitters I actually check GMSC 10+ times/day lol...this and saabcentral are my main forums...

This forum is not as slow as other forums in terms of speed, but everything is relative to database size/bandwidth, etc.

As far as the moderation, I haven't seen an issue yet. You guys seem to be on top of things. I would just hate for people to become overwhelmed because of side projects and have them feel a need to check on the kids a few times a day. I sit at a laptop and a few screens all day (thank you cushy gov job), if you need anything just let me know.

The one thing I do like here is that the admins do not nutswing on a vendor just because they pay, everyone is equal.

Only issues I see is Danew isn't present...I know he has reasons but stills...if your going to moderate you should be more persistent.
