    Question darton sleeves or not?

I looked through the GM build book I have and must be looking right over the info. I have an L61 block that I'm going to use for my build. The goal is about 325 WHP in the end. Will the Darton sleeves be a good investment for me? I have all forged internals ready to go in after I get the block and crank back from the machine shop.

if you have a gen II block (07 and up) you don't need sleeves for that kind of power. But if you have the money and plan on more power in the future it would be a worth while investment...

it from another J-body so should be a GEN1, everyone tells me boost is a drug and I will want to turn it up. the current plan is to start it off low and work my way up to 1bar once I get a better handle on what I'm doing with tuning, then go from there to get to my goal. I also plan on getting a computer and wiring harness from a 2000ish Z24, and hit it with the SC flash for better tuning since it will read real boost.

Pick a goal and stick with it, otherwise you'll end up like me. 325 is a good number. Stock block can handle that ALL day everyday

A PROPERLY TUNED piston&rods L61 can handle 325hp forever. Don't dick around with tuning and halfass it, you may be lucky to see 250 before it blows if you do.
