GM Sucks - Damn Rattles + Reset ECU car feels so much better
So I had this rattle in my headliner, happens when I get off thorttle above 3k...
I checked online,,and saw that the wire for onstar/mic is what's vibrating
Took it to GM, they couldn't hear it... Took it back once again everything is fine....they fixed it?
I ended up calling GM customer service, they told me they would take care of it... and get in contact with the dealer..
So they did..... 3rd attempt. STILL THERE, GM called me a week later to see if they fixed the problem.. they told me try again. 4th.. time THEY MADE IT WORSE, the vibration is there still but now i have a damn rattle and it's right above my head
GM calls and said the dealership, did there best to fix the problem. But since you are still no satified, I have been authorized to give you $1000 off your next purchase.. on top of what ever deal you make at the dealership...
So I finally had a weekend to pull down the headliner and see what's going on..
They put 5 strips of foam in the wrong spot, and they didn't even stick them on good... so I had two pieces of heavy rubber foam that was loose, those where the ones ratttling
As for the actual wire, I put electrical tape over the mic, and the "harness" and made sure it's nice and snug..
Well I fixed it! Car is so much more enjoyable to drive now without a buzzing/vibration right above my ear!
Stupid GM /rant
but since I was working on the headliner, I read to disable the batt for the side air bags..
When I went for my first drive, I noticed my thorttle is complete differentttt..
It's so snappy now, rpm's go up differently... everything is so smooth and nice
I even feel the boost coming on sooner? 3rd gear, low rpm... would suck now it picks up in less than half the time
?
