    Default Dyno scheduled for tommorow

    So i got my Dyno scheduled for tomorrow morning been working with JZW, he's been sending me new tunes to try making adjustments as needed. Got one last tune sitting in my mailbox waiting to be uploaded to the PPC. Gunna make some adjustments first, my BOV is leaking boost out after 16psi, so i need tighten it a bit more to take care of the issue. This wasn't a problem on stock tune, or stg1, didn't start until i uploaded the "lock and load" and "balls out tune". when i hit 16psi i can hear sound of it releasing air, and when i let of the gas, it sounds like a double blow off...

    JZW i s a funny in the way he names these tunes lol

    Do you have any means of monitoring AFR or better yet fuel trims?

    If it was a defnitive boost leak you'd be running a good deal rich(LTFT and STFTs would be in the negatives) because air that's supposed to be there isn't.

    well ended up not doing the dyno runs; was changing my plugs to 1 step colder ones and found this:

    car still runs fine; doesn't sound like there is any knock or thumping or any hesitation when i go WOT; but for some reason #4 is drenched in oil. I talked to my tuner and he thinks i might be hitting the airman limiter and the oil could be form a leaking valve cover gasket. Im going to run a compression test tomorrow and see how it does;

    I had a issue with #4 a year ago, nothing with the block, think the rockers came off or something along those lines, forgot what the dlr told me, but it was def not driving right back than, loads of ticking, flashing CEL and no power. compression test than showed a flat 0 for #4. Dlr made some repairs and it was running again; So we'll see what compression test shows. Maybe they messed up my valve cover gasket when they put it back on and the oil was just puddling over the plug

    hope not...wondering how it happened. Im not blowing any smoke out the exhaust, as much oil as i saw on the plug, you'd think there would be some smoke if its a constant leak; have had 4600 miles on my current oil change; running mobil 1; about 1 quart low, which is normal for 4600 miles according to GM oil consumption specs; believe they say 1qrt/3k is acceptable. compression test will tell will le the know if its something worth worrying; will also check the valve cover gasket, make sure the dlr didn't maybe pitch the rubber gasket when putting it back on

    could be, been speaking with john(tuner) and he said he think its the VC gasket. Also we are working on figuring out what my boost issue is. Its been pushing 16psi and making a weird spooling sound only when it hits 16psi. He said it might be bc I'm hitting airmass limiters and not to worry about boost, that i was making the power the tune should be giving. But during lunch i slammed it in second and got 20psi like i should getting, felt the power difference, than it went from 20 and just dropped and held 15(felt a loss in torque), it didn't progressively go down like it was running out of breathe, but needle made the 20 to 15 jump and wouldn't break 15psi. Its the weirdest thing now; Took a vid of it; will upload it to YouTube in a sec an post it.

    There's the vid, the beeping is the prosport gauge, i had the peak set to 18psi since i though the tune was only pushing 16, so when you hear it beep the spool sounds normal; but when its not beeping its bc its stuck on 15psi and making that weird spool sound

    so showed the video to john, he said its normal, its the BPV is bleeding boost; showed me a vid of another one doing it; He's working through my tune to see why its being weird on me; i even went as far as removing my VTA BOV and putting the stock BPV back on; once this is all working, i will prob pick up the forge piston type BPV

    lol that would be hilarious; but no he doesn't. We're still working on it, will tackle the oil leak tomorrow and order a new gasket if i need one; 1 step colder plugs are gapped@.032" which i think should be tight enough. not getting misfires from what i can feel or tell;

    nope haven't gone...been busy recently...plus the clutch doesn't like my aggressive tunes; its ok with the normal stg1...so i don't want to dyno on a tune i know is slower :/
