Sonic wouldn't be a bad dd. I think they look decent and the hatch is practical. Plus you can get a man pedal and the reviews say it handles decent for a small short wheelbase car.

My issue with the Sonic is the stamped flat steel control arms, and the weight is a tad high especially since I would wanna fill it with sound damping material for a DD. Ide get sedan.

The Verano 2.0T or now rumored Cruze 2.0T will most likely be my next DD if the Scion FRS back seat is too small. Got about 16 months to decide, no rush

that's exactly what I'm hoping for..... my mom just leased a regal... it's a great driving car, quiet smooth... performance wise it's a POS.. I told her she should have got the turbo lol thing also sucks ass gas mileage wise.. 9l/100km highway.. 10.1 average <- real numbers.... not enough power to move a 3600lb car

Verano should be same... except suppose to be 300-400lb's lighter which would make a huge difference even with the base engine but + a turbo would be a bad ass everyday car.. luxury (xenon's, heated steering wheel, touch screen yadda yadda) + a bit of performance at bargin price

and yes the FR-S or BRZ... would also be a great car.. but I don't think it would be a good DD standpoint... small, weaksauce engine.... + winter = fail....

Don't even think it would be a good track car, don't get me wrong it's designed for it... but I mean it's lacking mega power.. doesn't matter how good it does in the turns...

at mosport.. I will be infront of most cars, all the way to the back straight.. all that hard work than bam... everyone passes me even if I have a good 20-25 car lengths on them.. the 911's, r8's the all zip by me like nothing.... that would be ♠♠♠♠ty as hell with 200hp/150hp. Sorry, but a fun driving experience = going fast lol

    seriously though....

one of the better looking compacts...

Dodge just pulled the covers off its new compact sedan, the Dart. We're impressed. With an official base price of $15,995, the Dart (pardon us, please, just this once) seems to be a bulls eye to the heart of the small car segment in the United States.

We're eager to spend a few minutes behind the wheel of this Italian/American conglomeration, since its specifications appear to put it at the forefront of a hotly contested segment. For starters, there's a very impressive available seven-inch TFT display to replace the standard analog gauges, which is paired with an 8.4-inch touch screen panel at the center of the dash. The digital cluster is customizable by the driver with two different base display options, along with nine more menu functions.

As far as styling goes, nobody is going to confuse the Dart with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta on which it's based. There's the expected crosshair front grille, though it's smaller and better integrated with the overall flowing design ethos. Such impressions are helped by the massaging done to Fiat's platform; the Dart is stretched in all directions compared to its Alfa-badged sibling.

That enlarged platform means the Dart is rather well-endowed when it comes to interior space with a total of 97.2 cubic feet. Dodge has managed to squeeze in 35.3 inches of rear legroom, which it says is more than the mid-size Hyundai Sonata sedan. Buyers looking to customize their rides will be pleased to see 14 available interior and trim combinations.

Power will come from one of three powerplants, two of which are naturally aspirated – a 2.0-liter Tigershark inline-four producing 160 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque, and a 2.4-liter Tigershark four with 184 hp and 171 lb-ft. Naturally, our attention is focused on the 1.4-liter turbocharged MultiAir four with 160 horses and 184 lb-ft, which we suspect will be the most fuel efficient engine of the three. Transmissions at launch will all have six speeds: one manual, one automatic and a dual-clutch gearbox with the turbo mill. A nine-speed automatic is in the works for 2013.

had to bold key features.... 160-184 - 6 speed - 2800lb's ish... fully loaded car? sounds nice to me

    Agreed

I dont like the dart or the one maven posted. they both look bloated.
Matty: The LNF MAF doesn't like extra air flowing past it and not being tuned for it.
Me: I think dead horse is dead
Matty: Nope, just saw the legs twitch a bit, must beat it more. not sure EVERYONE on this forum understands it just yet.
