interesting
I like em both, and matte white paint
This is very true
Some of the most fun I've had driving was in my 92hp hatch
Can't forget about the spec Miata's and 1st gen Neons that absolutely rape the ♠♠♠♠ out of the big Cobalts on the track.
At the same time different people have different needs...could you imagine trying to merge around my house with 92hp?
But we know Rodimus is being spedsos/lame/typical forumer who probably barely knows what an apex is and would get roasted by the Spaceship in the twisties
A stock TC (with R comps) is almost as fast as record setting SM, though each is faster in different spots. Modified, even a non-dedicated track Cobalt SS TC is faster than record setting SM. The 130R doesn't have enough HP to be interesting to me, in the current proposed form. Even if it's based off the ATS platform, you're still probably looking at 3200 lbs.
I think the weight of the Alpha is going to be right around what we see with the ATS personally.
Like maybe slightly lighter, but I can't see 200 lbs of content lighter. It'll be less leather and maybe less of a sound system and that's probably about it.
I can't see them stuffing the 1.4 in there either. I think the engines will be the 2.5 and the new 2.0T for the top level. They also have to put this car in between the Camaro and the bottom liners, which that gap can be easily filled by a mid to low 14 second car(talking about the 130R)
The FWD concept will be the equiv of a Scion tC IMO. Decent looks, usable hatch, and no more than maybe 180hp. I can see the 1.4T going in that.
We shall see. It's nice to actually have something looking forward to. Not necessarily to replace my current car, but there's an actual future(maybe).
Well the 140S (silver car) would almost definitely weigh 2900-3100 lb. Its a cruze hatch. plain and simple
The 130R(red rwd) ownt be 3200lbs, ♠♠♠♠ the ATS weighs alittle over 3200lbs, and its a 4 door, 5 passenger luxury sedan, thats wider and longer than the 130R The 130R is gonna be on a shorter Alpha chassis, I would wager they take at least 8" out of the ATS wheelbase to make the 130R
Thinner glass, less sound damping, less exhaust, smaller fuel tank, smaller tires, smaller brakes, lighter seats, etc, etc.....

ATS is "well under 3400 lbs" means it's probably 33xx lbs
8 inches out of the wheelbase?
Iono about all that, it'd make it smaller than a 1-series if the reports of the ATS are true about it being a 1/2 shorter than the 3-series
ATS has a 109in wheelbase

I'm looking forward to the ATS. Im interested in finding out what they will do with the new 2.0t and what plans they might have for the v series. Speculation on a 6 cyl turbo or possibly a LS3 (very speculated) lol. I think the 2.0t would be good for a v series if they made the car lighter. But I doubt that will happen.
my guess for the V is TT3.0V6

I hope so. Its great that the Mustang Boss beats the M3 around Laguna, but noone is cross shopping those cars. The BOSS only impresses Mustang guys and car geeks. In "real" life its just a gawdy pony car. If GM can come up with a REAL competitor. to the 335, let alone the M3 a lot of people would notice.

GM wants to know which one of the concepts do you like:

Meh... I don't like the 130. Prefer the 140... but it kind of reminds me of a 4G Eclipse.
