    Default Help! New to forum

Ok I'm new to this forum and well I've been on other forums and even the solstice forum which I hated because everyone is like 65 years old and rude as hell on there. I'm not sure what to do with my 08 Solstice GXP or where to start. It needs to be faster I'm tired of my fiance talking crap about how his car ( 07 Subaru STI) is so much faster than mine. So far all I have done is Solo exhaust, a GM cold air intake, and the car came with GMPP upgrade but I don't even know if it is still tuned for it. I don't really know what to do with these turbo cars, because I'm used to working on older cars like my 69 Firebird or my 86 Fiero. Not that those are fast but I have different plans for them. Please help... what did you guys start out doing?

Welcome to the forum, about time you joined! Unless he has had some more work done, his STi didn't seem so fast when my fat wagon stayed right with it. Haha!!

As for your GXP, if you want it to be faster looking into adding a catless downpipe, charge pipes, intercooler and a custom tune from someone experiences with HPTuners. A great place to get some of those parts is Performance AutoWerks, they're a vendor on here.

Catless downpipe and a a more aggressive tune is easiest way to get more power.

Sweet. Thanks guys. And yeah it took me long enough to sign up on this forum, lol I forgot what it was called and got bored at work today and found it in a note on my phone. Lenny doesn't have anything else other than what you saw on his STI then... oh and his car is going to blow the hell up soon if he keeps driving it like he does. He already has a bad rod knock on start up. But don't tell him that he thinks his car is the Sh*t for some reason, but it just royaly ticks me off that his car is faster. But then again never took it to the track. And I really want to smoke some STI's. And about the tunes well all I really see that they have been doing is just about the same not much power difference than the GMPP... or am I missing something?

Kappa's intercoolers are a little small-ish for the LNF so it's not a bad idea to look into a larger(but not huge) one and some hardpipes.

DEFINITELY want to run a catless downpipe and an aggressive tune.

Now when I say aggressive, I don't mean completely to the limit...but while the GMPP upgrade is a decent upgrade, it's nothing compared to a safe custom tune from someone who knows what they're doing with HPTuners.

Stay away from blow off valves and any kind of "upgraded" by-pass valves(BPV)...honestly there's no reason at all with simple bolt ons and a decent tune wouldn't net you 12s in the 1/4 mile

Yea Lenny does drive pretty crazy, surprised he hasn't blown it up yet. Definitely PM Omiotek, him and the rest of the Werks crew will be able to help you out. They're a really good group of people over there.
