Do you give recommendations in your Paint Thread?

I just got some old mirrors off of a 87 Jetta for my GTI... the Black Plastic is faded like hell. I'll more than likely just hit them with some matte/flat Black spray paint. Any recommendations on some prep work to help ensure that the paint sticks for a little while?

Gold scuffing pad with scuff paste or with soapy water, your going to have to use a plastic primer. With adhesion promoters there's no guarantee on completely raw parts. its sent for smaller areas. Apply the plastic primer and spray over it.... read the instructions if your using cans and check dry times and all that... with a real paint system I can paint right over plastic primer after its flashed. Im not sure with rattle can

Yep no problem...make to use gold scuff pads grey and red will be too coarse... they will be dull when your done. That's how you know the prep is right

not sure if you have an idea of how hot the lnfs can get on the track or not.... right now we ended up having to go back to all stock parts on our car to try and keep the tires we are running(this is souly for money reasons) we are going to pump down tire and rim size next year so we can get our mods back......

but the solstice gets real hot after about 8 laps in TTB so we are trying somethings to help bring the temps down. plus its lighter and looks cooler lol. fiberglass hood. i think i did ok at getting it straightened.

na the fenders came with the hood as a combo seal. no working vents. mainly just heat extractors.
