    Default Firearm Talk

I know a couple people here collect guns, own guns, etc. Figured we should have a place to talk guns.

I just brought this home today, Taurus Millennium PT111 Pro 9mm

Really comfortable in my hand and a perfect weight (little over a pound) and size for a ccw, I look forward to spending plenty of time at the range with her.

Originally I had wanted a .40 cal but after looking around I settled on a 9mm. I plan on getting a .40 sometime in the near future, not sure as to what yet.

Fk 9mm. 9mm is for fgts.

What made you decide on 9mm for a CCW??? Exact opposite for me... the only reason I'd own a 9mm is for target shooting. 40cal, imo, is perfect. Great stopping power with minimal recoil. Its a perfect balance between the 9mm (Little Recoil, no stopping power) and the 45cal (A lot of recoil, A lot of stopping power).

    My XD-40

    My Remington 870

    My Savage Arms .270cal

I don't own that pistol or that Cx4 Carbine anymore. Still have the Ruger.

I really hate the safety in the hand grip, which is why I didn't get the XD-40. This is the first handgun I purchased but this is just a step into a collection for me, the next will for sure be a 40 cal. I had always said I wouldn't get a 9mm but yeah I did.

The Safety in the back of the handgrip just ensures that the weapon doesn't accidentally get discharged while holstered, etc.

    Wuuuuuuuut?

A more comfortable gun is definitely better, but if you shoot any gun enough, you will get used to it. Like the M9 that we use in the military. I find it an uncomfortable hunk of junk when I hold it... but I've shot over 3000 rounds with that gun, so I am very used to it, and can do just about anything asked of me with it.
