Might still change residency... Purely on principle. Will call legislator first.
Florida also has no income taxes. Only catch, iirc, is that you need to be based there before you can accept residency.

I think your right bc you have to provide an address. You can also just have family there as use their address as your legal address

Holy $hit guys.. You have to jump through this many hoops to get a carry permit? I understand NY and CA with their stupidity, but elsewhere?

In PA it's shall issue, so you simply goto the local Sheriff's office every 5 years, pay $20 and pass the background check.

Check out MA. It is up to discretion of local licensing officer, usually police chief, whether they will give you one. By discretion I mean if they don't like the color of your shirt when you go in for interview then that's that. You can pay an attorney to appeal, but it's difficult.

Every town is different. Some wont issue ccw at all depending on how the licensing officer is feeling, their personal opinions on 2A issues, whether they have indigestion or not that day...

That sucks big time. You can't get a CCW in Philly, but Philly is a 'city of the first class', so they make their own BS rules on a lot of things. Otherwise, in PA it's a pretty easy process. Some counties charge a little more than others, but it's not real hard to get at all. It used to require police signoff, pictures, and basically knowing someone good as a reference, but PA law changed for the (much) better in the late 90's.

I'll ask Mega for a new pricesheet to make sure nothing has changed then shoot you a PM.

Skimming a few CCW forums after I mail off norm seems to be 2-6weeks for return time. Although law says can be up to 90 days

The FL permit has the best coverage in the country, no? Most states take it? I don't care about it much, because I hardly travel, but it seems interesting. A local guy that bought a can off of me was telling me about how he got his FL permit so he had better coverage.

No. Florida doesn't have the most coverage. A lot of people get it though, because it adds a few states to most CHL's. For instance, Ohio guys get it (and sometimes a PA one) because they have a few states that Ohio doesn't.

From my research, Arkansas actually seems to have the most Reciprocity with other states. I need to get my damn fingerprints done and get on it.
