My oldest brother had a 64, it was my first manual trans I drove with out lessons.... I was 10 at the time. Actually did well, didn't kill it, didn't run it into anything. It was a cool car.

I have had the pleasure to drive both a 63 Corvair monza 2dr coupe with the 2spd powerglide, and a 65 Corvair Corsa Convertible with a 140Hp 4spd drivetrain. The corsa was triple black with factory air and OMG I would love to have one again. Both of these cars were my grandfathers before he passed. If anyone has a chance to get out in one of these cars do so!

The guy that was going to paint my car rebuilt Corvairs.. His niece drove one when I was in HS. Definitely neat cars.
