Default tinting my tail lights need suggestions.

So im tinting my tails and when i bought the night shdae the guys at advance told me to to a coat of night shade then sand with 3000 grit paper then another coat then sand and so on and so forth till i get the desired darkness. Now when i searched this on redline forums people said dont sand just night shade till its dark enough and if you want spray clear coat down. any opinions i bought some 2500 grit paper just not sure if i should sand them or not.

When you get them out in the light they wont look as dark. I just drive with my tail lights on so the cops dont even notice mine. Too bad I didnt see this thread before you did them because I would of said they dry darker. lol happened with my headlights. took me three trys to get them the darkness I wanted.

in all honest i hate night shades with or without clear. the clairity just isnt there and its a poorly designed product if you ask me. the way i do it is single stage black mixed in with clear(special mix ratio for me) and i tint to the customers perference.

Elco? how have I not seen you around?

And yeah if you want nightshades to look its best you wet sand it and the clear with 2500-3000 wet then polish the crap out of it. You can make it look like a mirror but it wont be as even as a true pro job would be. But it can be pretty presentable if done right.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you. Hope this helps!
